The performer, Ron MacMillan, rapidly gained an international reputation. His first big show in London was again before an audience of magicians at the Victoria Hall, in one of the Unique Shows sponsored by Harry Stanley. His fame continued to spread, and he became much in demand in France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Italy, Sweden, etc. Other honors won include Second Prize (beaten by a short head by Fred Kaps) for the Premier Award at the International World Congress at Leige in 1961, and First Prize at the Scandinavian Congress in 1963.
